due to the overwhelming response!
Support for The Zia Larson's Ray of Light Foundation helps fund research, education and early intervention programs.
Programs supported include but are not limited to the University of Washington's Accelerate Mental Health Care Early Psychosis Intervention Program and other research in schizophrenia, bipolar and other mental health disorders.
We believe that together we accomplish more. Through individual and community partnerships, we support mental health awareness programs and educational initiatives that are working to change lives in Seattle and around the country. Programs supported include the University of Washington Medicine's Early Psychosis Intervention Program at UW Behavioral Health Institute at Harborview Medical Center.
We are a proud supporter of the UW Medicine Psychosis R.E.A.C.H. This virtual training is available for free to Washington State residents. This training is intended for families and friends caring for a loved one experiencing psychosis that teaches cognitive behavioral therapy for psychosis (CBTp) principles and skills. It provides a better understanding of what psychosis is, addressing common myths and misconceptions and aims to teach caregivers CBTp strategies and skills to better communicate and support their loved ones. The training also allows families and friends with similar experiences to connect with and support each other.
Registration is free for Washington State residents and the training will take place October 15th and 16th, 8:30 am - 12:30 PM.
